Possible Arrangements for Staging

Everyone knows how important staging is when trying to sell your place, so I've been (a bit obsessively) going over possible arrangements for our two main rooms when we put the house on the market. I hear that less is more, so the more we can take out while still leaving a good sense of the room, the better.

Living Room-- now

Possible staged layout. The flooring will be Oak, walls Sherwin Williams Blonde (tan). I'd remove the large chair, end table and book case, swing armoire to that wall. Face couch and love seat.

Family room now

Possible staged layout. Move TV to side nook to hide from first view when walking down stairs, but still able to watch tv since we live there. Take out big couch, face love seat across from two smaller chairs. Leave fireplace nice and open

Thoughts? Comments?

  1. I'm not sure I like the first staged layout.....it makes 1/2 of the space look empty. I like the way you have things now.

I really like the 2nd layout with the TV in the nook. Makes it feel more open.

    good luck!
